I think most guys lie in a relationship for 2 very important reasons:
1.) They absolutely do not want to hurt their g/f or wife and feel that protecting her feelings is much more important than revealing a potentially hurtful truth (Right or wrong, they do it)
2.) Women hold grudges! So they figure if something is small that could get them in trouble and they know they don't want to hear about it 12 years later, then they'll try and hide it.

No they know they can't get away with it. They half expect to get caught sooner or later that's why when the guy lies then something is automatically wrong with the relationship. Lying is sometimes used as an escape clause to the relationship.

On average, yep... it's a way of life that's been taught to them by their influences that came before them. I suggest teaching our sons why honesty and trust make relationships happy, as a part of the solution for the future of mankind!

If a guy can cheat and never be found out, he will. Not all guys are like that, but plenty are. If you find out that they lie to you about your relationship, it's not worth it because then you will always have doubt in the back of your mind.

most guys dont think they can get away with lying in a relationship they know that they can because women let them do it women need to start reading between the lines and not falling for any tom, dick, or harry. just because he has a penis and he is there. grow up women we can do better then thid

not to be rude but it really goes both ways, yes women can be just as dishonest as men can, that's why you should build a relationship on the 3 key points trust, honesty and love
