that closet or cupboard doors are some sort of portal to another dimension and if you leave them open(especially at night) you are going to be exposed to some sort of negative energy that will creep into your subconcious when you are most vunerable( in your sleep)?
C,mon admit it, I know that some of you out there have felt this way but couldn't put it into words or wouldn't admit it, I won't tell anyone, honest...

Sorry, no negative energy here...
But when I was a kid, I used to pretend that my closet was a time machine, or a space ship.
In feng shui, theres something about placement with the foot of your bed pointing toward the door is the "death" position. Also, if theres a mirror where you can see it while you are in bed, that your "spirit" will be frightened by it when it "rises" or something like that, so you'll never get a good nights sleep...
Thats around the same thinking.
Happy Dreams!

Mine would be a slight tad different not closets but car trunks...mhm defenitley disguised portals to other dimensions. Thats why sometimes when you put things in there and you don't find them later on, it probably went through the portal. Some criminals even get lucky because the dead bodies dissapear before they even have to ger rid of them. Not so much negative energy ...more like a black hole of dooom!

I have a hard enough time getting my closet door to stay shut so why would I leave it open. ;o) And no I can't say I ever thought about anything like that. My only thoughts is that I wish I had a larger closet ;o)

Yes, I do, just as you describe it!
After 13 years of marriage I have trained my husband to make sure the closet door is shut before turning out the light!

Nope. My daughter used to get freaked out by her Teddy Bears at night though. Does that count?

Sounds like my girl friend and I, and we both have OCD tendencies.. haha

She won't even drive by cemetaries, thinking something bad is going to happen if she does. It's sorta like if you do something; something bad or negative might happen.. Sounds like an OCD thing.
