The houses have now been rented out to asylum seekers and illegal immagrants by a scouse troop of slave labour bosses who force them to cockle in dangerous locations in the north west for little or no money!!! It really is an utter disgrace!!!!!

Phil Redmond, the creator of Brookside actually bought the houses while Brookside was at its peak of popularity as it made filming schedules easier.
Last I heard he had sold them and made a huge profit

They used the houses in hollyoaks after brookie finished. The last i heard the houses had been sold off to the public. I dont know what happened the shops sorry.

The houses are still there and are still owned and used by Mersey TV - they film house interiors for Hollyoaks in them, and for other independent productions.The parade of shops was built on another site -Merseyside TV's headquarters in the Childwall district of Liverpool - which also houses sets which are used for pubs, offices, courts and hospitals
