Most over 50's parents just want to be with the ones they love most at New Year! Plonk them in some comfy chairs, and ply them with wine/ sherry and the like (no driving mind). Perhaps a few mince pies, and a great medley of tunes. What a night to remember!! Have a Happy New Year!

Get them in fancy dress and take them down to Newquay. Everyone down there does fancy dress on New Years (apparently!). Go to a few pubs, mix with the locals and have a laugh

have dinner, chat bout the old times maybe, crack a few jokes about times you made a fool of them, open a few cans or bottles of beer and just relax and watch the telly. sounds simple but in all honestly its kinda hard if you haven't seen them in awhile
