My live in boyfriend of 6 years is an aspiring recording artist. We just relocated to our hometown but have to live apart for a month until we find a house. Currently, he is recording a song with a female artist. I have only seen her from far, but never met. I love what he is doing, but everytime I hear about this girl and this project it upsets me. I haven't seen anyting suspicious but I asked him to let me to go the studio with him. He says it's too many guys there, but that he will take me so that I won't talk about it anymore. Everytime she calls him about the song, my blood boils. Sometimes I think I overreact, but my mind plays with me. He gets upset because he says it's strictly business, that everyone knows he's not single. That we've been together 6 years and he loves me, he doesn't want anyone else, that I need to stop being so jealous or I will drive him away. Should I worry or what?

You're jealous, understandable... but if you have absolutely no reason to believe he's cheating and you trust him, I would suggest trying to calm yourself whenever you think about it. You could unwittingly ruin the relationship just by being jealous and making your boyfriend think you don't trust him.

Yep, you should. It is natural though. Recording artist are always trying to make it so her calling shouldn't be such an issue since they are making a song together. Being a producer though, it don't take months to create a song, maybe a couple days, but not weeks. I can record a song in an hour! So only reason I see her calling after a couple weeks would be because they are performing at a club or something together, other than that, they lovin and cuttin up!

Im going to tell you as a friend what i would be thinking of you and what i would do to take your man. You would be pissing me off insecurity is the biggest turn off to any man. Do not be insecure. i would see your insecurity and use it against you everytime you did something. dont give any woman that satisfaction. if i was that recording artist i would be like ok her blood is boiling so let me try and get under his skin while the home life is rocky im just telling you the truth what scandelous dirty females out here well do. dont be a victim rise above this if he wants to get a house with you and yall are moving together and you are still having issues maybe you need to go on about your buisness and let someone else have him.
thats whats real

If your usually a jealous person I would say not to worry. If your not the jealous type, maybe your female intuition is taking over. He should not be telling you not to talk about it anymore. In healthy relationships things like this get talked about till both feel comfortable with the situation. Tell him you want to meet her, just to make you feel better. If he insists you dont meet her, he may be hiding something. She may be a great person and calm your fears right away. On the other hand, you may be right and have every reason to feel the way you do. I'm sorry your going through this. Good luck. Hope this helps.

if he says he will take you to the studio go at least once..maybe twice. So you can feel more comfortable about it. The thing he said about being too many guys there shouldnt matter..I don't know why he would say that...if he is worried about you being around guys then you are allowed to be worried about him being around that girl....but if you go and see that it is nothing..you need to relax. But be watchful..when people work a lot of hours with each other....it can bring them close and sometimes romantic (like movie stars who fall for co-stars) but if your boyfriend has never given you reason not to trust him and he can be professional...let it go.

How long has he been working on recording this song? Because frankly it doesn't take that long to lay one track.
You're right to worry, because he is just your boyfriend. That means he's still single, and don't think for a moment that he doesn't know that. He can justify all sorts of fooling around on the side because he's not married to you, so it's no big deal.

u hav every right and reason to be cauitious, u'v been going out for 6 years and ure obvously in love with him. But your obsession with this other girl is leaving ure boyfriend in full control and feeling smug. I f u love him enough u can take his word that theres nothing going on and trust him. Stop asking him about the girl and make love to him like never before!!!

well hun, im kinda in his situation, working or in class with a good looking woman. a little bit of wonder should be in your head, but dont drive him away, dont push the issue. be sure to talk to him after hes been in the studio...nothing sucks more than talkin to your woman right after youve had dirty thoughts about someone else. the guilt would pry knock it out of him if there is any, but maybe just swing in with some treats or something you know like the snak he likes and just say you were thinking of him...drop it off and leave ...dont make a production......just set them down say you love him and hit the road. nothing will stop a girl in her tracks like the girl in front of her man

Don't worry at this point. Unless you have more hard evidence of a growing interest. It would be appropriate for your boyfriend, however, to show some consideration by asking this girl not to call him at home and to make sure he doesn't spend any extra time with her.

Don't worry. It probably is only business. You have 6 years in with the guy!
