Yes I do cross my sevens. My mother once commented on that indicating it was a Germanic practise. Don't know if it is or not but your question is really surprising. Never heard of crossing your J's though.

I do cause I want people to know its a seven alot of people need to cause their writing looks like crap and you cant tell what the heck it is some peoples 7's look like 1's my J's I always cross my last name starts with J

I do. It's a custom that comes from the continent where people write the number 1 with an elongated top part which then makes it look like 7 and therefore they have to write the number 7 with a cross through the middle.

I always cross my sevens, only cross my capital js if it's part of the postcode-don't want to make it any easier for Royal Mail to lose it!
btw. I think crossing sevens might be a european thing.

I cross my sevens, draw slants through my zeros, cross my z's and I don't dot my lower case i's. There are several more odd things I do with my letters and numbers, but it's kinda hard to explain here. I know, I have to make things more difficult than they really are.
