We were married for 6 years and he was with her on the side for the last 6 months. Getting a divorce now but he's promising to leave her if I come back, which isn't gonna happen.

Revenge is not worth it.
Make him realize that you are a much better person, and make him regret it even more by doing nothing but keeping a positive impression of you in his mind...
Tell him that you know that he is not a terrible person, and that he is just a dirty dog. Tell him that as much as he hurt you, it's not the end of the world and that you hope he's learned from his lesson because you know that you sure did, and that you hope he has a beautiful life.
Then never talk to him again or ever respond to any of his text messages or anything.
That's revenge with a double edged sword. You're being nice, yet your point is being made, plus as a bonus, you get to keep your dignity and he's forced to realize just how respectable you are.

I know you're pissed, but revenge is never the answer. You can't build your happiness on getting even with other people. The best revenge is to learn to be happy without him. I have done this more than once and have drive exs crazy. They realize that you don't need them for anything.
Most people don't understand that cause and effect is a law of the universe. If you take revenge now, someone will take revenge on you in the future. The cycle will never end....

Revenge would only prove that you still have feelings for him.
You are a smart girl, and I believe that you have enough sense to know that your time is better spent than on a cheater.
Take what good you can from it. Now you know how a cheater looks, talks and acts - you can avoid similar jerks in the future.
If you are an artistic person, you can write him into a story, screenplay, poem or song and hopefully make yourself a ton of dough.
Go forth, my chica, and live a great life!

If your wanting revenge then get him to leave her and make sure u let her know so she gets mad at him and u know she won't forgive him and when u know he is about to move in change your mind and say no it's not what u really want and then take him for everything he's got.You should be intitlled to more cuz he cheated on u while married.Use in the mean time get him to give u money pay some bills buy u things whatever and them throw him to the dogs cuz that sounds like what he is.lol

the only reason i am telling you this is because i am in the same situation and this is what i did i hope this helps you honey. first short story. me and my x lived together he started talking to someone else while still living with me and so i decided to start talking to someone. ok so that is my story very a typical but here is where it gets tricky. When i started talking to my new friend everything was fine he was still talking to his friend then one day out the blue he calls me and tells me he wants me back well that is fine and dandy but i told him i dont want him or the new guy. This hurt his feelings but also gave him so hope. so when he calls and tries to get back with me i kill him with kindness. i ask him how is him and his new girl doing. i ask him questions like so how does she feel about you talking to me. and i ask him if he has eaten and stuff like that. it just makes him think i care when i really dont. anyway know i think he has gotten the picture but he knows i come second to no one.
p.s i am still not with him i have a new boyfriend know that is way better than him. The best revenge is doing better than your last and not letting some nobody that broke up with you get the best of you

Why do you NEED to get revenge? Aren't you better than he is? Aren't you classier? Think about it...how pathetic is he that he's with the other chic and now asking for you back?
Come on, the best thing you can do is nothing. Let him sleep in the bed he made, and if you ever run into them (he and the other woman) together, then ask him right there in front of her, "I considered comming back to you, is now a good time?" Then watch him squirm and change your mind...

Your already getting your revenge so just sit back and enjoy the fact that he wants you back. Him crying and begging about his mistake on leaving should be enough.....Live the best life you can without him.....and if you can live it with him just watching....than great! There' no better revenge than seeing the person that got away and want so bad back....live happily without you.

Why waste your time and energy on revenge? The best revenge is to say no to him and tell him to stop calling and you want him out of your life. Tell him he chose his path and now he has to live with it. Don't answer the phone if he calls and stop all contact with him...that's your revenge....making him lie in the bed he made for himself.

i say no. he cheated on you for 6 months.take it from my experience once a cheater always a cheater. whos to say he wont do it again. Your better than that. Tell him he wanted to be with that other girl so bad he destroyed your marriage he needs to stay with her cause your moving on to someone else. girl i wouldnt take that dog back for nothing unless you think he'll change i seriously doubt it. he made his bed make him lye in it. the revenge is find you somene else a hot cake. flaunt it in front of him as if he didnt even exist.

Get over it and move on. You're out of the picture. Don't show how much you're still hurting. And if he's living with the other girl I find it hard to believe that he's begging you back.
