there is NO comparison at all here. catherine hepburn was an ACTRESS, grace kelly, as pretty as she was, was a mere STAR. catherine hepburn brough CLASS to all her movies, she had a passion for her movie characters like very few of the actresses did in those days, even today i dare say. she will always be remembered for her roles, the only reason people remember grace kelly is because she married the prince and had wild teenagers.

Hands down, Katherine Hepburn, Grace Kelly was great back in her day, however she quit acting and Kate the great kept going. Saw her in a play in Los Angeles, once and she was great, she had broken her ankle the night before and she went on stage in a wheelchair. What a women. I admired this lady ever since i was a kid. She started so many firsts, like women wearing pants.

I personally like Katherine Hepburn better. She brought life into the characters, whereas Grace always had that soft kind of persona.

Hepburn - she had the fire and power behind her acting and paved the way for a new generation of actresses, whereas Grace Kelly was little more than a dancer.
Not that I have any less respect for Ms Kelly in her own field, after all, she, '...did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels!'
