bciara is right--if the audiences didn't love it, the writers would stop writing it.
I enjoy the show. Some episodes really annoy me, and the writers seem too willing to have characters act in unbelievable ways, just for the effect of it, or for a good line (like Izzy's "cut the wire" storyline? Why undercut the character as a professional, when they went to all that trouble to establish how hard she worked and what she had to go through to get into the program? Seriously!) Still, I like the characters most of the time, and I care about what happens to them, so I keep watching.
But I don't put "Mc" in front of other words. Seriously.

The show has jumped the Mcshark.
They have out of ideas and now it's becoming nothing more than a recycled version of itself with a tweak here and a tweak there to try and keep your attention.

The writers have become convinced that they are geniuses and are getting lazy/ relying on formulae that worked before.
I said it before, and I'll say it again.
Gray's Anatomy--worst show on TV, and that includes pro wrestling.
