I've never looked for a husband, but I guess if you were specifically looking for someone to get married to, you would have to firstly have a sense of companionship with them - whatever that might mean for you - but you might also have to have similar values in certain respects. Especially if you want to have children. So that, if you are going to start a family, you'd both agree that a certain type of lifestyle is best, that raising children in a certain way is best, etc. And also on where you would both like to live and how earning money, taking care of the home, etc, is going to happen.

That all sounds a bit depressing, though!

I am also a sucker for tall, skinny guys.

Money is not really a factor, as I make enough to look after myself. And what if he was really rich, but was a stingy bastard? What good would the money do me? Maybe Anna Nicole had the right idea - if you must marry rich, make sure he's on his deathbed.

I looked for character; a desire to protect and shelter me; making the most of what he had; a positive attitude; his ability to make and follow through on committments; and his appreciation of me. I also watched his behavior as he drove and when he lost his temper.
