Depending on how often this happens and the severity of it, it may be something and it may be nothing. It could be any number of things. The only way to know is to consult your doctor or a mental health provider.

You don't sound like you have any real problem. Maybe it's your environment (do the people around you like to get you down, do they seem depressed at all?). When you get in a sad mood, do something like hag out with friends, or even listen to a CD that you enjoy. There's an herbal tea called "St. John's Good Mood Tea" that has natural mood enhancers that you could try. Good luck.

I get a bit like this. Are you on any contraceptives as this could be the cause? I can go up and down like a YO Yo with my moods and this is becuase I am on the pill. Another explanation could be you are suffering from depression. I would go and talk to your doctor.

Do you have more stress than normal or is anything worrying you? Don't worry about it too much. Just ride it out and if things don't get better soon maybe see your doctor or try St John's Wort which is meant to be a natural anti-depressant.

Need more information. How long do these periods last? Could be hormone imbalance, could be more serious, beginnings of depression. When does it happen? Notice any patterns? After drinking/drug use? Around certain people? Check this out, might help http://www.allaboutdepression.com/gen_01.html

Maybe you have the onset of depression. If it becomes too much of a problem or the moods last longer go and have a chat with your GP xxxx

Ignore tulips! Do not start diagnosing mental illness over the internet! It may be your hormones or tiredness or stress. Try and make time to do fun things and not just studying.

youre still in the years where life is sorting out....so i wouldnt worry about it that much. If this continues to happen throughout your twenties, it could be bipolar II. Google it..make sure you google BIPOLAR 2....not just bipolar...theres a difference. Smile, itll be okay either way, its a part of life!

Sounds to me like your hormones and the stress of exams are getting to you a bit. Try drinking camomile tea with honey and also try calms. they worked for me during my exams.
