This year, a 7-foot artificial Douglas Fir, pre-strung with 650 timy multi-color lights (real trees contribute to allergies in my house), a small golden star at the top, decorated with ornaments dating back to pre-1950, including a glittery, cardboard rocking-horse, a teapot, several birds, a hedgehog, Victorian clocks and lamps, angels and Santas, small pinecones, tiny bears, hearts, a golden harp, carousel animals...finished off with a multitude of small luminescent icicles and a white (snow) tree-skirt. Best seen in the darkened living-room, while sipping a cup of Constant Comment with one's feet up.....
Can you tell I love the holidays?

The cat always thrashed it so I don't give him the pleasure anymore. I'll put it back up every year after he dies.
