easy answer is to take the day that he was born on and add a day for every year and 2 days for every leap year.
365/7 = 52 weeks and 1 day
366/7 = 52 weeks and 2 days
Think about his first year. His first year had 366 days in it since 1996 is a leap year. Now he has another 54 years until he reaches 55 years old. Or 13 more leap years for a grand total of 14 leap years.
55 - 14 = 41 regular years
41 + (14 * 2) = 69 extra days
69/7 = 9 weeks and 6 days...
This means if he was born on Saturday, his birthday will be on a Friday. (move the birthday back one day).
March 3, 1995 was a Friday, so his 55th birthday will fall on a Thursday.
The number of days will be (55 * 365) + 69
