I think that works for some people, but not for others

i am a stay at home mom and i have to say i am glad to be able to be here for them whenever they need me. most people today HAVE to work and unfortunately there are a lot more single parents out there that do not have the opportunity to stay home with their kids but i think if it is possible most moms or dads should stay home with the kids at least till they are off to school. i think the kids today actually need to have someone looking out for them to guide them in a good direction because i see too many of them that don't care about their selves as well as others and is quite disturbing on their behaviors as well. hope this helped your question a little lol. good luck=)

admirable and nothing wrong with it. my sister is a stay at home mom raising three boys, ages 7, 5, and 3. you can imagine the handful she has to deal with. i have a great deal of respect for her and think she is one of the strongest women i will ever know, and that was her choice to stay home, and i really think her kids are better off for it.

on the other hand, my other sister is a career woman, she has two daughters, ages 1 and 2, that she takes to daycare everyday before work, and she too is very much involved in their lives, and i don't think her working has inhibited their development or well being whatsoever.

everyone's different. one sister feels she can better provide for her children by staying at home and making sure their personal needs are met. the other sister feels she is better serving her kids by working and earning money for her family's overall well-being so her children can have a comfortable life. there's no doubt in my mind that both my sisters love their kids with every bit of their heart.

I'm a stay at home mom, and I love it!! I like knowing that I'm available at any time should my kids get sick or have appointments during the day. It was hard for me to have a regular day job that I was constantly having to take off from to do something for my kids.

I have been a working mom too though, and they deserve so much respect. They have so much on their plate, and yet they manage to get it all in at the end of the day.

I think one or the other parent should stay home with the kids until they reach school and then work during school hours and be home when the kids are.

Why have a kid and then drag it off to daycare and hardly ever see it or have the responsibility of caring for it.

But that's just my opinion.

This depends on what your background is or where you come from, im mexican and that is how my mother helped out, stayed at home and helped. my girlfriend/soon to be wife is in college, we will have kids after her work is set. im a teacher and she an accountant. our kids will probably be taken care of by a babysitter or daycare centre. i guess its all principle. If your old fashion, thats what your wife would be doing.

I think they are really dedicated to their children and want to spend as much time as they can with them until they are on their own and there is nothing wrong with that.
