In Windows XP there are 2 ways. The first is to go into Internet Explorer click on tools, internet options, and clear your history. Also you can set it so it won't save the cookies. Everytime you close Internet Explorer it does it automatically just set the browsing history to 0 days. The other is to go to Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Disk Clean up.

In Firefox, click on Tools >> Options then click on the "Cookies" tab. There is a button to click on to clear your cookies.
In Internet Explorer, click on Tools >> Internet Options >> Click on the Delete... under the Browsing history. This will bring up another small window where you will see where to delete your cookies.

Open Internet Explorer and go to tools, the Internet options, Under browsing history you will find it.
Another way to clear cookies is to leave the cookies jar too close to the reach of the kids.
