Newspaper Recommendations?

I'm thinking about subscribing for a couple of different newspapers and was wondering what people think are the best international newsmedia sources.

Only hard core series newspaper in the US is the New York Times. They are not in it to make a profit, although they need money to pay the bill. Plus it's the country's official newspaper of record. It's a living testimony of history. Another reputable newspaper outside he USA is Le Monde.
