I don't know who Bertie Ahern is but jumping off a cliff is permanant and going out on a date is only an hour. So I would have to chose the date.
Edit: OK, now I know who he is from a search. I should know this stuff! I would go out with him, it would probably be boring but I could live through it, I couldn't live through a fall of a cliff though.
