Ok, since speed has nothing to do with direction, the bear travelled a total of:
10 + 16 + 14 = 40m in 5 + 5 + 4 = 14s, so his average speed was 40/14 = 2.86 m/s

As for average velocity.. well, that DOES take direction into account, so... 10m - 16m + 14m = 8m total travel in 14s, so the average velocity is 14/8 = 1.75m/s

the bar paces 10+16+14 = 40 m in15 s

in a minute he walks 40*60/15= 160m

and in a hour 160*60 = 9600m = 9.6 km

Speed is distance/time : 10+16+14 paces/14s = 40paces/16s = 2.86 paces/sec.

Velocity is change in position/time 10-16+14 paces/ 14 s = 8paces/14 sec = 0.57 paces/sec
