Ask your local court clerk for the forms, or go to "Findlaw or Nolo Press" on the internet (google will get you the address).

You can fill out the papers as well as a lawyer, it is perfectly legal.
There will be a filling fee... should be aboput $150. Once the papers are filed he will be served a subpeona (a divorce is a civil action) and be required to appear for a hearing. You may also get a temporary restraining order (free) if he likes to beat up on women. The biggest hassle will be child custody. It doesn't matter what he does for a living, he can loose his drivers license and get thrown in jail for failing to pay child support.

Go to legal aid foundation, and start talk with someone you can trust that has knowledge or experience in legal field. And start looking for a job. Don't be panic, and be strong.
