So i have a question for baby daddys. If you left your babys mama for someone else and she kept you from the babys life, would you still try to be in their life? Even if thats not the case, how long would it take for you to finally want to be in your childs life even if your ex and you have both moved on?

I might want to add that I live in washington and he lives in Arkansas.

He told me he wanted a boy and he cheered at the news when I told him hes havin a son. But after I told him that his weekly phone calls stopped and now I am lucky if its once every 2 months!

I don't know what you should do about your baby's dad but your son is so adorable... whatever you are doing now seems to be working out okay because he looks so happy and well taken care of. I would leave it open... if he wants to see your son okay, but the ball is in his court, leave it completely up to him to call and schedule visitation and do all of that sort of stuff himself. I personally think that he's crazy for not wanting to see that beautiful baby boy.

My daughter's father and I were very young when I got pregnant with her. He was really scared and immature about the whole thing. We tried to make it work , but he ended up moving out when I was about 6 months along. We would fight all the time, and I always wondered if he was going to even want to be around our daughter. He was there when she was born, and ever since then he has been there for her. We are still not together today, but we are very good friends for the sake of our daughter. It is always wrong for two people to put there child in the middle of there arguments. It is not there fault, and they didn't ask to be pulled in every direction of your arguments. You need to discuss what the child needs, and do it for them, not yourself. It is not about you anymore. It is about the future.....your child. Good luck!

No real man would ever let anything keep him from being part of his child's life. If your baby's father isn't involved, it's because he doesn't really want to be.

It might depend if it was a real relationship or a drunken one night stand.
