Please don't list this as trivia. This is anything but trivial. If you remember 9-11, then please remember D-Day. D-Day is arguably one of the greatest human endeavors ever attempted. The Allies, not America, landed on the French Coast, and there were five beach heads, two English, one Canadian and two American....Juno, Gold, Sword, Omaha and Utah. Thousands of men died that day. They did not die as an accident. It was no surprise. Many of them did not expect to live through that day. They willingly gave their lives in order to free Europe from Hitler and the Nazis. Please don't ever think of this as trivia.

Do you mean North Americal, Central America, or South America? But really, the answer is that no America attacked any coast on D-Day.

What happened on D-Day was that an Army and Navy comprised of Allied forces went ashore along the northern coasts of Spain and France and engaged in armed battle against an Army comprised of Axis forces. No countries were involved, only people.

A country cannot attack anything. Only people can attack.
