in many animals, males are more colorful to attract mates, because females are often the one to choose mates, they tend to choose healthier males, because healthy mates = healthy offspring, and a higher chance for survival of the spiecies. so, males display thier state of health with displays, these displays can include the male turnig bright colors. a male developing physical displays show that the male has higer levels of testosterone, and, there fore, they are healthier. but not all males use color, some develop large horns, tusks, or antlers, or if the male is dominant,and other, less common ways. human males show thisdifferently than trough color. human females arent always considered more beautiful than males. it just depends on which genders opinion you ask.

As a photographer looking at individual features on average I think males are more attractive than females, I know there are some beautiful females, but I am talking average. If you could shave all the females hair to a man's cut and remove all the makeup you would see this, a good example of this would be Oprah she is beautiful with hair and makeup remove it and it would not be pretty, in the animal kingdom it is almost universal that the male is more attractive than the female.
