When you go for an early pregnance scan do they round the date up or down to the week

Because i went for an early pregnancy scan they had to do in internally and they said that im 7weeks but they said there not exact, because theres no way i could be 7weeks its either 6 and half or 7 and a half

They will give you an exact. Like 6w3d

They give you the estimate of your due date. Say you are 7weeks 3days and that is what the ultrasound determines then that is what they will tell you. They will not round it up or down they tell you or they should tell you the exact all the way down to the day.

I understand what your trying to ask and its up! The time frame thats done with the utrasound is an estimated date which they go off of your last menstural cycle and how well the baby was developed. Like me i wasnt sure the exact date of my last cycle so it can change your dates, with pregnancy it is a estimated time frame thats why they tell woman you can deliver a week late or early!!!! They don't round it at all. They will tell you week and days. But they are estimates. It is really up to you to decide when you had sex and the doctor can determine from that also. Using the dates is more accurate usually...

I never had them round at all. They always said "you are this many weeks and this many days pregnant". They calculate your esitamted due date based on that scan, so rounding wouldn't be good!

When you go for you scan they again like everyone else said will give you 6w2d, but they will also tell you +/- 2-3 days.

They give you week and day. So like if you get it and you are 6 weeks 4 days.. they will tell you just that. Good luck

My ultrasounds were always down to the day(like 8.2weeks)
