You aren't going to be able to do this without using a proper hammer from the other side. Stainless steel isn't thin, so the fix is going to be invasive. A plunger won't work because if the dent is small, you'd need a cup that small and you just aren't going to find it.

Dents stretch the metal and stainless steel ain't soft so I'm afraid it won't come out 100 % . You say an appliance , have you tried to order a spare panel to replace it,

Depending on how big the dent is, you may use a bathroom plunger or a suction cup for lifting plate glass. To pull out the dent. Most residential kitchen appliance are made of light gauged sheet metal, depending on how severe the dent is, suction don't work use a rubber dead blow mallet and lightly pound it out from the inside if possible to your satisfaction....
