It's easier to be sure about what you're buying when you've actually looked at it/tried it on in a store rather than just hoping it's what it seems to be on a computer screen; especially with clothes, trying things on is essential. You can also avoid mistakes by shopping in a store. You're not going to pick up the total wrong item and buy it, but when buying things online there's a good chance you could get the wrong size or complete wrong item (I've had plenty of experience with this...) Also, there are lots of extra fees with online shopping. Though the item itself may be cheaper, by the time you add on shipping and service charges, it often ends up being similar to the price of the item in a store. Then there's the aspect of instant gratification. Either you can order something online, pay your money, and then wait....or you can go to a store, pay your money, and have it! Plus, shopping in stores is fun. It can be an excuse to hang out with friends and get out of the house!

We're stationed overseas, so I shop on line at a lot of major retail stores. I also buy a lot on on line from the Navy Exchange. We have one on the base here, but it doesn't always carry what we need.
