Hope for the future is the only point........ this will not be all there will be in the future!!
Thanks to the uncertainty of the future, hope never dies and eggs us on to live on and on!!

THIS cannot possibly be all that there is. If THIS was all there was, it probably wouldn't BE here... for something to exist, it has to exist SOMEwhere, it must have some sorft of foundation. A human heart posits the existence of a human body. for a human heart to exist, there MUST have been a body (or at least a test tube in which it was grown) as all material objects must exist IN something, so to must the finite universe we inhabit. The Universe (which is finite) exists within a framework of infinity. This infinity is the ground of all being, or as some would say "God".
So what is the point? -and I'm not trying to make a particular religious point here-... first of all, we need to accept life and existence as important, and valued. existence is not just some temporary illusion, or stop over point on the way to the infinite. we are here, and there is a purpose.
-when you build a chair, that chair has a purpose. ALL things have such a purpose... The purpose of a gun is to shoot bullets. the purpose of a screwdriver is to drive screws... the purpose of a human being is to become a person in a community of people, to experience and actualize Love, which is the drive towards reunification of that which has been separated.

Existence is an end in itself. Only abstractions have points, and existing is not an abstraction. Asking what the point is would be the same as asking why your pillow isn't a fish. It's nonesense.

That means that if you don't have any kind of hope; any good motivation for getting your butt out of bed in the morning, then your life truely sucks.
Get a grip. Find some joy.

Life is what you make it. You have the freedom to make choices and take advantage of opportunities over a lifetime. Which of these opportunities you take determine where your life will go.
Also, what you give back to others in life is very important.
