"Intelligent Design is dead. It just hasn't fallen over yet." The overwhelming majority of scientists support the massive evidence that is evolution . . and to skeptics inability to disprove the theory.

Why do people continue to persist with Intelligent Design? WHY?!?

Because most people don't understand what valid scientific evidence is.

Intelligent design is basically just a way to validate basing oneself on religion rather than on verifiable fact and logic. The IDers decide what they're going to believe first, and then search for psuedoscientific evidence they can try to use to back it up.

People don't believe in "Intelligent Design" because of the scientific evidence. Neither do people believe in evolution because of the scientific evidence. People who believe in evolution do so, mainly, because they don't believe that God exists and that He created. People who believe in "Intelligent Design" know that the scientific evidence does not rule this out. The real scientific facts fit in quite well with "Intelligent Design". The facts neither prove nor deny evolution or creation. That's the short answer. If you are really interested in this issue, you gotta read evolutionists and creationists with an open mind. That's difficult to do. Evolutionists typically avoid all the issues and problems with evolution that creationists bring up. You will be very hard-pressed to get any evolutionist to directly answer any of the problems that creationists point out. There's a reason for this: there are no easy or good answers to these problems. Evolutionists are generally very biased. (Sorry, showing MY bias!) Their first assumption is that there is no God or that He is very far away or uninvolved in His universe (very BIG assumption) because He has not shown Himself to them in the way that they want to be shown. The Bible clearly states that He has shown them in a way that they (and you) can see. Read the first chapter of the book of Romans.

Religi-Politics, this was a creation (get it ;)??) of a religious minority to try to keep the religious teaching in the biology class.. by not calling it Creationism (they basically tried to put it as a new scientific theory) lol.

Obviously that failed!
