Hi all, last week my sister delivered a boy baby. She is 31 now. For past one week she is unable to breast feed her baby. Doctor said she haven't formed milk in her breasts, they injected to feed her baby. Is that good to mother and baby or will it cause any problem for not able to feed her baby.

There is a lactation consulatant group called La Leche League, call them, they will be able to answer all your questions.
Untill you reach them, dont give baby a bottle, feed him(her) formula or a water from the spoon and give him(her) breast as many times as you can.

This is going to be difficult to be helpful second hand, since we can't ask the mom herself questions for more info.

She won't have a good milk supply unless she is nursing and/or pumping. It's all about supply and demand. She has got to have the stimulation to her breasts to tell her body to make milk.

I don't know what you mean when you said, "they injected to feed her baby?" Are they tube feeding the baby? Or did mom have some sort of an injection?

She needs the help of a Lactation Consultant or a La Leche League Leader. These ladies specialize in breastfeeding and know more about it than almost any doctor.
