An accurate argument that shows the trueness of a mathematical concept or statement. Unlike a scientific proof (where results are used instead of logic), a mathematical proof is unquestionable. When trying to prove something,a scientist would just try examples and conclude, a mathematician tries to generalise and formulate.

it means that through some functions you have to show that a mathematical concept is correct always, mostly just use algebra and then back it up with an example

When asked to prove something or to show the proof that something is true, start from one side of the equation and work your way to the other.

Do not assume that it is true as it has not been proven yet.
