I don't know what you used originally, but there are Huggies overnight diapers, and maybe other brands have overnights too. They are the thickest, most absorbent diapers. I would try them. If that still doesn't work, put the plastic training pants over the diaper at night. It will at least keep the sheets form getting wet.

Get some wool diaper covers, the kind you use for cloth diapers and use them over the diapers at night. You can also find patterns online if you have some old sweaters and like to sew. You can get them second hand as well.
Also be sure you are not making the diapers too snug when you put them on. I know it seems backwards but the tighter you pull the waist and legs the more it seems to leak.
Do not restrict fluids in a baby under 2.
If you can't find wool covers, you can take a flannel receiving blanket and fold it like a diaper and put it over the disposable but I don't know if that would work as well.
The other obvious solution is to change him during the night. I know, don't wake a sleeping baby! But you may have too.

Yes, make sure that the pee pee is pointed STRAIGHT down. Not to one side or another, but straight down. Then are you making sure that the diaper is nice and tight? YOu should be stretching it a bit - both around the butt up to the waist, as well as the tabs around the waist.
And he's still getting soaked? Yes, change his diaper right before bed. Then fist thing in the a.m., or are you already doing that?
Restricting even more fluids at night would be next. So he can have one last good pee before bed, change the diaper, and then off to sleep...

I would have recommended going up in size but since you have done that.. what about putting in a diaper liner when he goes to bed? One of the ones that goes in a cloth diaper? You could buy a few wash and reuse them. Just make sure you remember boys pee upwards and put them in the right spot.
Don't withhold drinks from him. Make sure if he does not drink after a certain time that he gets what he needs in him before that. (I am sure you know that but I just better throw that in there).
It is pretty sad when you walk in and see your little one wet.
Good luck

Since the diaper is leaking, there is too much liquid in it. Change the diaper before you go to bed. If necessary, get up in the wee hours of the morning and change him again.

After 3 children, I found that Luvs worked best for my kids. They had leakage problems also, not as bad with Luvs though and they are inexpensive. I say forget the Name brand diapers all they want is your money. Another tip with boys is to make sure you have it tighter around his waist (not too tight) but they tend to leak out the top more than girls do. Good Luck!

All of my friends say that they use Huggies for their boys, and Pampers for their girls. You can also try putting rubber pants over his diaper, but that is a sure way for him to get diaper rash. Give the Huggies a try. Good luck....and you aren't the only one who has a soggy baby in the AM, happened to me too.

I always thought that the higher priced diapers are better but not true. I had the same problem that you did so I switched to White Cloud the work so good and you can get them at Wal Mart for about 13.00 and that for a big pack. Good Luck!!!!!!!!

My son did the same thing!
I finally started using Huggies Supremes, and I cut down how much hes drinking during the day....
how old is your son? If he is to young, its kinda hard to take away some of his liquid!
But try the huggies supremes..... they are expensive, but its all that works for my son! hes 2 and sometimes still soaks through his diapers......
