Who would dry up first therefor loosing?

assuming they are both "sliding" the snail would definitely dry up first having far fewer goblet cells (mucous production cells) which produces the "slime" by both, not to mention the quickness of the girl scooting, especially if she's properly hydrated and turned on.

Snail because its got less water haha, I dunno most likely the snail would since the girl could travel a longer distance always.
