Talk to the council about getting your husband a wheel chair (preferably electric) and arrange for access to your house to be looked at so that he can stay mobile, failing that get out some circus training DVDs so he can learn how to go to the shops doing nothing but handstands, he may need some gloves too because if he accidentally landed on some broken glass he could fall and hurt himself.

The longest was 2 weeks after my 2nd son was born. Is there a way he can get around in a wheelchair? That way someone can take him outside for a walk just so he doesn't get so housebound. It isn't real good on the mind to be inside for too long without sunshine or fresh air. Good luck to your husband and I hope he recovers fast. =)

He could rent a self-propelling wheelchair and go for little outings himself... after being cooped up for three months, he may well find his confidence in the ordinary little everyday things has diminshed, and he should start doing a little more for himself every day.
Hopefully, now that he's had the operation, it won't be long before he's up and about again.

I was in the hospital for 15 months when I was 7 or 8 years old
I remember forgeting the feel of wind and sun
I was scared to go outside for a few days, but my parents made me.
I don't remember much about it now...but then it was like WOW air and sun.

1 week.
I didn't leave because I was so happy with my new furnature, I couldn't stop enjoying the peace and calmness my new decorative styling created.
He has reason not to leave the house. I wouldn't either if I might risk a good infection if I step wrong.

Four months when I was pregnant with my son and had to stay in bed due to complications - very boring. When I went out afterwards and went to the shops it blew my mind, everything looked so bright and overwhelming.
