My CALC prof. stood me up today. And I have untill three o'clock this afternoon to decide whether or not I want to drop the class. I went and spoke with my advisor after waiting a 1/2 hour for my prof and my advisor said I could get the head of the math dept. to sign me out of the class but should i? I am in danger of possibly getting something lower then a C on my final and could end up with a Low C average for the class and I need a solid 3.5 gpa throughout college to get into the graduate program I want too and with the c it will hurt my chances wat should i do???

I took a year of calc, then a year of physics, and i hated every second of it. Take the class and roll the dice. If you are not happy with your grade-take it again and ace the thing.

I would drop the class and retake it. Under ideal conditions you would have discussed this with your professor BEFORE the cut off date. The fact he or she had a conflict , well that happens. You need to understand that you are partially at fault for procrastinating on this. That is water under the bridge. Right now you need to protect your GPA and without an assurance from the professor I would not risk it.
