very normal..
im about 10 weeks and i can count on one hand how many solid peices of food i have eaten in the last month.
just do your best to eat what you can.
this early in the pregnancy it wont harm your baby.
my neighbour had the same thing for the first 3 months, very minimal appetite. im about 10 weeks and im still having trouble getting much down.
try pasta, crackers, arrowroot cookes, cereal, toast with peanut butter or even dry.
i kno how hard it is to get stuff down and keep it down for that matter early in pregnancy, but it is common and as long as you arent completely starving yourself you arent hurting your baby.
and hang in there, for most women by 12-14 weeks your body is more adapted to the pregnancy and you should be back to your old eating feeling better self!

Yes, I was the exact same way. I actually had to force myself to eat the bare like crackers, cereal, and simple sandwiches. I actually lost during the first trimester. I was concerned and found info that it is perfectly normal and some women will actually lose more than what I did. Just do the best you can, eat healthier more nutritient rich food. Believe me by next trimester you will be wanting everything even things you aren't fond of. I crave cottage cheese and I normally hate it. I am now 20 weeks and gained 10 pounds since 14 weeks.

Hi, congrates!!
yes, its up to individual which i think its pretty normal for some. Hormones changes which cause some "un usual" symptoms or reaction. Just monitor urself for another few weeks or so.. try to eat less but more oftern if u are really not that hungry. (eat something more nutrition and healthy) so that u wont get the little one suffer from hunger. All the best, take good care of your baby and most important, take good care of urself too!

Do you have morning sickness? That might be a cause of it. When I was in my first trimester, I wasn't hungry for much, either. I ate smaller portions and found that I just wasn't hungry. I even lost a little weight. HOWEVER, as soon as I got into my second trimester, the cravings began and my appetite was bigger than ever. I am currently in my third trimester, and I still have a healthy appetite. Don't worry about it. You'll be all right. If you are still worried about it, talk to your Ob-Gyn. There isn't a question they haven't encountered.

Be sure to take your prenatal vitamins... you don't have to eat for two... you just increase your calorie intake a little... and if you can't handle them right now-maybe due to nausea, i say that's ok. You don't really want to lose weight, but gain a pound or two here and there. As long as you gain 20-35lbs, then you'll be fine. Just tell your doctor about this so they can tell you what to do.... will crackers work? They say to eat small proportions all throughout the day, not 3 big meals- that does help too.

Totally normal. Welcome to pregnancy! This too will pass. Just make sure that what you are eating is nutritious and take your prenatal vitamins. Your body is going through a lot of changes and should start to even out a bit by your 3rd-4th month. Until then, drink lots of water and get lots of rest.
Who knows...in a couple of months you may be so hungry that you can't even satisfy it and eat a ton!

yes!food was the enemy in all of my pregnancies for at least 5-6 mon!i had to literally force myself to eat something because it makes you feel more sick if you dont!try eating relly bland foods and that might help!youre still early so the baby is not in as much need of calories from you but once you hit the 2 trimester you need to start gaining weight!i only gained 5 pounds since i got pregnant but my doc says im fine.its still hard for me to eat large meals due to all the morning sickness!good luck!

Yes, my appitite totally changes, but you have to eat something! That baby still wants to eat and if yu starve yourself, your starving him too! I tried to eat a lot of bland things, or things I couldn't resist! Crackers and cheese, milkshakes, apple slices and Jamba Juice. I remember once I tried to eat a grilled chicken sandwich from my fave spot, and it tasted like cardboard. It will pass, but eat!

While changes in appetite are normal you do need to make sure you are eating regularly and healthily to enure both you and the baby get the nutrients and calories you need.
