I would be ashamed to be seen with him. Bush is an idiot.

As an American, I tell you can feel safe with your friend. You won't be attacked or anything, but you may be made fun of for supporting Bush. Although he still has many supporters, it just depends on where in the USA you are going. I personally would answer your friend's survey to let him know that Bush is an idiot and the worst President we ever had. The man can't speak, he lies, he misleads, is only for the rich, can't be trusted, what else? I'm glad he leaves office next term. I guess he got elected twice because he stole the elections, and the stupid American sheep let him do it.

18 months ago the answer would have been a clear NO. Today, suddenly the timid majority is again present an now willing to be vocal about what an *** this Guy has been. So I'd have to YES.

However, irrespective, they're all f'ing bonkers over there, so you're at risk whatever you do.

Stay home and have a nice cup of tea instead.

PS My wife has dual citizenship GB/US and I've been over there many times, so I do talk from first hand experience.

PPS: This is one definition of f'ing bonkers:
Right wing; Anti abortion; Pro Death penalty; Pro Gun; Bible babblers. (If you carried on like that they'd lock you up, over there thats main stream!!)

It wouldnt matter if BETTY BOOP was in power, the President and the Prime Minister are only voices of the government. So can we stop trying to incite reactions by raisng the same arguement over and over again.

Lets be thankful that it was the Daisycutter they deployed and not the nuke.

Bush is only the front man for the faceless people who run the country. He cannot make any real decisions himself.
(The same thing goes for many other countries, to which the UK is no exception)

The reason Americans like George Bush, is because they all have this dream that anyone can be president.

It doesn't matter that he's a uneducated, draft dodging, ex cocaine addicted alcoholic with an IQ half that of the average person. Or that he's blown the budget, didn't listen to the 9/11 or Katrina warnings, killed 3000 soldiers and turned the world against America.

What matters is this:- If a man as useless as Bush can become President, then perhaps anyone can.

And that's why stupid people love Bush - because he's just like them.

A country gets the government they deserve.
America deserves George W Bush.
Yes, go, and laugh at all of them. They deserve to be laughed at.

Not dangerous so much as downright depressing. I was in Philadelphia last year, in a bar downtown I met a bunch of lads from Texas, who had a litany of reasons why they would lay their lives down for President George Dubya. It was sad, because they were nice enough guys, but culturally a world apart. To them, his actions were exactly right, and they fully supported him. They were, however, well aware that the rest of the world hated America. I said hate was a bit strong.

Marcus

We cannot choose the opinions of our friends - but we can choose our friends. I have friends you I care about but disagree with. If you only want friends who agree with you then you might find life dull!
