There are no road-side diners in their world. Just mass killing tools so he has to buy all those in order to get some food. Since he always messes up, a better question would be why hasn't Wile Coyote died of thirst or dehydration..? ...Oh yeah, because it's a cartoon and doesn't have to adhere to any logic or physics at all!!!

Probably because he was an idiot. Or, maybe the road runner slept with his wife or something similar which just made the Coyote want to Slater and devour him. Or maybe there just weren't any good restraints in the area.

erm he is dumb because all he kneads to do is to buy a car and drive after the Road Runner and runner it over then eat it oh and runner it over is not a typo
