I would say the most overrepresented group in state legislatures in general is lawyers. Lawyers make horrible laws that only seem to benefit other lawyers with lots of loopholes and potential for litigation. I think we could improve our states and nation if, as voters, we pledged not to vote for lawyers. We need to send small business owners, teachers, and working men and women to our state capitols and Washington DC.

Depends on how the population is situated with voting districts. If more liberals are in a particular area, then they have more representatives from that area. And vise versa.
