Being concerned about a murder means people can be upset about something in the past, that does not really concern them in the slightest.
Looking at Global Warming seriously would mean that they would have to reconsider their entire lifestyle, and only very few are prepared to do that.

It's very good to know people are very very concerned with the killing's of not just A GIRL,BUT GIRL'S.
I must say you have a heart in the right place for calling the girl a girl and not a "P"---------,as it is all over the new's calling them the big P word.
That don't half hurt like a knife in the heart, know why they are all human no one's perfect, and what ever there hard come's in life they have to work to put food on the table, and I do know many of them are down the wrong road feeding the wrong habit's but I am no one to point a finger at the sad bad habit of drug use they have, some of them work for there kid's and don't forget some of them are sent out by there pimp's to make the money.
I feel for them much more then the global warming, cause your cry's over global warming is falling on deaf ear's.Even if you had a big sighn writting and saying stop the big poluting companies no one's gonna read it who's govening the country or the world.so stop stop pretending.
I will have to say to freeze these bodies till the test's are over it will use up energy which will do more damage to the global warming.
it's not just a girl now it's 3 of them.
please don't thing of me as not caring,i do so much so i have come back from india and i sit at my home in england using the heating system only if i need to have hot water, too keep myself warm i wear load's of warm cloth's not use energy,so there you see i am making a sacrifice to help the kid's of the futer.
i'm not leaving light's or tap's flowing.
i do know where to stop and put my foot down.
good luck and don't be so cold where wemen are concerned i know of young boy's doing the same thing as the women and it's no one way street ok.
i cannot turn my back on the truth.good luck hope you fing your answere.

Because Global Warming is irrelevant and life is precious.

So the human race pollutes the planet and temperatures rise with the sea levels. So what. It has happened before and this planet is still here. What makes us believe that a few billion insignificant humans could destroy the planet. We harm the planet and the planet will fight back, global warming will reduce food levels which will mean half the world's population will die out and there won't be enough of us left to do any more damage. Mother Earth wins, human beings loose. And then it all starts again.

No. What is happening in Ipswich is awful...and those sorts of things don't happen in that area. East Anglia is a really good (and on whole) safe part of the UK.

It's not that they don't care about global warming - lets face it when the ice melts Ipswich will disappear along with the entire region, which is quite scandlous as well. But in the eastern Counties they have known this for years and are worried about another tidal wave or storm surge like the one in 1953.

But at the moment most important thing is there is a very disturbed person out there who needs to be caught

That's a good question. I don't have a specific answer but maybe it's because people feel, that on their own, they cannot do anything about global warming. I mean you can switch light bulbs and purchase hybrid cars. But unless you join an environmental group, which most people don't, what can you do other than promote the cause? However, the murder of a young girl in your community or in your country can generate responses to make some laws change or a better vent for your outrage. Does this make sense?

I think we are all responsible for global warming to some degree but its the governments who have the real power to do something about it!! - but the murder of a an innocent girl or boy is truly unacceptable to society!!
May i ask where your priorities would be, if this were your child???

The killing of a child is not a priority? What exactly would you like society to do about GLOBAL warming? If your going to complain about it at least provide a solution!

It's not a question of priority - it's a question of being able to relate to something. We all know young people, and we'd all be sad if the young people we know died. While global warming affects us all, it's much more difficult to experience in an immediate, tangible way. The death of a young person is far more personal, and something to which everyone can relate very directly.

Can you explain in your own words how the amazon is going to die off in ways not including human deforestation? Also, can you explain how the monsoon's will change in areas like india? In your own words please. Because to my understanding, the earth gets wetter as it warms, and drier when its cool. So are you suggesting that it is just going to stop raining in the amazon? Are the Andes mountains going to disappear? How is there going to be less moisture in the air if it gets warmer? See, you can use your common proponent arguement of, " global warming will cause more rain in some areas, and droughts in others." Then where is this rain going to be falling if it isnt going to be falling in india, south america, australia, africa, the american south. It has to rain somewhere, and usually the laws of nature remain constant. Water will evaporate off of the ocean, and fall on the land somewhere. Global warming looses credibility every time I read an article like that... P.S. Jim Z, the "tipping point" 2.5 million years ago was caused by the formation of the land bridge of panama, which changed the ocean currents in ways we arent quite sure of yet.

What is important is that they are concerned with SOMETHING. Too many folks are only interested in their own lives and do not care a toss about what lies beyond their own doorstep. The ostrich head in the sand syndrome...They cannot imagine that it might happen to them, whether it is a child or an old lady being murdered or the fact that the earth is progressively turning into a vision of hell.
