For x-mas I am not sure what to get my mom, so I am just curious, on some ideas of things to get her, every year she gets boring stuff, and she is very outgoing and in her 40's, so nothing made cause I am a little too old for that I am 22, I just need some ideas, of things to buy that moms out there would just love, me I am a mom except I still love getting clothes and makeup and stuff like that. Thanks

Moms love gifts from the hearts from their children. I would go out and have a portrait done of yourself and other siblings if you have any and put it in a nice frame for her.
Another idea is a spa gift certificate put inside a little basket with other spa necessities.
Or you could put together a small scrapbook with pictures that are memorable to you and your mom.

Your mom would love for you to get her some clothes, make up and other stuff. The people who are in their 40s (including yours truely) still totally enjoy that kind of stuff too. Now a days if you're in your 40s you are still young and not just young at hearts we are not over the hill by any stretch of the imagination. If you can't thing of exactly what to get her make a shopping date and take her shopping and then see what it is that she likes. You don't have to buy anything then, just do some window shopping that can be sooooooooooooooooooooo much fun and very informative as to what her tastes are, then after you get plenty of ideas from her then you can really surprise her but getting her some of the stuff that she showed you that she likes.

I always get my mom the same sort of thing I'd like to get myself. Like your mom, my mom is still very youthful and trendy, so she likes cute clothes or makeup, and lately she loves earrings because she just got her ears pierced for her 50th birthday. I don't think moms ever want to stop being treated like hot women, just because they have kids. I'm not a mom, but I know that when I become one, I really hope I'll still be the same person and like the same things as I do now.

I've got a tough to buy for mom myself. So, I usually find one or two of her recent CD purchases, go find out if that group, or musical is playing somewhere and get her premium seats. Might hurt the bank account depending on who they are but it's something she never will do for her-self and gets her out of the house as well.

I recently discovered this website that helps you find a gift when you have no clue. You enter who you're buying for: gender, relation to you, their age group, and what the occasion is. Then it gives you hundreds of ideas with pictures (It will even direct you to the specific stores website if you want to buy). I found many things I never even thought of. This is perfect help when buying for that "hard to buy for" person. (That's even one of the gift categories) Give it a try! It was was a big help for me. Happy shopping! www.findgift.com

I like StacyK's answer with the spa idea.
Get your Mom the whole nine-yard day-spa treatment.
I think she'd appreciate that. I think more Moms should get those.
Merry Christmas!

Your mom would still like those too. Over forty isn't dead lol. You could also have a cup or plate made with grandchild's pic on it.
