I'm not asking to have you do my homework, this is one section of a huge problem & it's been so long, that I forgot how to do it! Ha! Here's the problem, how do I solve for x? I already know the answer, I need to know step by step how it's done though. I can't figure it out.

0.12 = ( x - $110,000 ) / x
Multiply both sides by x to get
0.12x = x-110,000
subtract x to each side:
0.12x - x = -110,000
simplify the left side
-0.88x = -110,000
divide -0.88 on each side
x= -110,000/-0.88
x= 110,000/0.88
x=125,000
