Ok I'll elaborate a little:
It's mostly the chorus, and the very sincere way in which he sings it. It makes me laugh every time!

Well I guess it is, if I see a parody of it.
But if Blunt is honestly singing it(unlike if he is forced to which is somewhat OK seeing as it is his career)then it isn't.
If he was singing it sincerely then no I wouldn't find it "laugh out loud funny"
Blunt is a brilliant artist.He deserves some of your respect. Though he does praise superficiality a little too much for my taste.

And it doesn't help that it's way over-played. You should listen to the Weird Al song "You're Pitiful" (the parody of "You're Beautiful")! It's always good for a laugh.

I think the sincerity makes it a lot more valid. If it was not sung with as much heart as it is, it could be easily seen as trite.

He shouldn't even be an artist...its that bad haha. So Pitiful like someone said above is more applicable then You're Beautiful. Hope that helps, goodluck!
