If you have a DVD burner, the easiest way would be to back your library up on disk File>Backup to Disk. You will lose your playlists, but all of your music will remain.
Another way would be to set up a network and drag your whole iTunes folder to the new computer. My dad has done this and everything, even playlists, remain.
If neither option is possible for you, use your iPod (or external HD) in disk mode and drag from the external drive to the new computer.

i downloaded a software the did this for me just by connecting my ipod to my new computer. You can download free trials and just use it once. Worked like a charm!

For Windows:

* PodPlus: The $15 successor to a very popular freeware option with many options in addition to the music copying feature.
* PodRip: A $14.95 shareware program that supports recovering your songs and playlists, playback of audio files and much more. A free trial is available.
* PodUtil: A £10 Shareware program which offers powerful copy features and iTunes playlist regeneration. A free trial is available.

For Mac:

* Senuti: A Free option with an iTunes-like interface, search function and iTunes playlist regeneration.
* iPod.iTunes: A $39 Shareware option with the ability to transfer both music and videos from iPod to Mac with a single button press. (Added Jan. 2, 2006.)

you can use your ipod as a hard disk to move music to a new computer. If all of you itunes music fits on your ipod you can transfer that music to the new computer. It might be easier to burn a back up disc, but that may take a number of discs. heres a link to the apple website with indepth details.
