I did it natural both times and I have to say that it was equally as painful for me... The only difference was the burning when I was pushing!! Good luck to you

I had my son naturally. I definitely think the contractions were worse. I only had to push 3 times and to me that was a relief. I was focused on pushing and not the pain of the contractions at that point. Prior to pushing, all I could think about was the pain. With my daughter, I had a c-section, but still had contractions. The contractions were worse than the spinal and recovery in my opinion.

My youngest of two kids is only 7 months old and I can honestly say that I can't remember!! I've been trying to think for the past few minutes and I can't come up with the answer!!! With my youngest I was only in labour for 2 and half hours and only needed 2 pushes to get him out so I suppose the contractions were worse coz they lasted longer!

My labour went so fast after my water was broken(only 2 hours and one of them was pushing) and I had an epidural so I only remember a couple of contractions but they were definitely the most painful thing I've ever felt in my life! I didn't even feel the actually pushing him out which is a good thing because he was a big baby! (9lbs 10oz)

Honestly I got an epidural early and the contractions I had weren't bad. Neither was the pushing, I think afterwards when the doctors and nurses pushed on my belly that hurt worse.

After four kids, I'd have to say the most painful was the actual pushing out of the baby. I swear all the drugs they give you stop working when that happens!!

i would have to say the contractions because you dont have any control of them but you do control thr pushing.when you push its almost over anyway but the contractions can last for hours and hours before you even get to push

well personally i did a epidural and they work really good you don't feel anything but the contractions did hurt more than the pushing that's why i had an epidural but good luck with your birth

with my son the pushing hurt the most, i didn't have any pain meds. with my first daughter the contractions hurt the most. with my youngest daughter, the contractions hurt most, because when i went to the hospital with her in labor, she was breech so they did an emergency c section.
