The Celtics will win another championship, not this season or next, but eventually they'll pull it off. The young talent they have needs to get a couple years under their belts to develop, hopefully sooner rather than later. But with Paul Pierce and a potential Allen Iverson it may be able to light a fire under their asses and get the young guys moving. And, even if they don't pull it off this year, with next yr's draft being one of the strongest in the past 10-15 years, the Celtics are looking at a decent pick. They'll come together, it'll just take some time.

If Ainge pulled the trigger and traded for the draft day rights to acquire Chris Paul, I'd say they were a couple of years away. As it stands now, things look bleak. Maybe they'll win the Oden lottery or something the way they've been playing ...

Not with the personnel they've got now they won't. That organization has to do some serious recruting. They've got to get some muscle under those boards. They need someone who can shoot and make 3 pointers consistantly. The decisions must be taken now!

No not for awhile, they're still in re-build mode and with the exception of Miami, Detroit and maybe Cleveland the western conference is still the dominant force in the NBA

not with the line up they currenlty have....pierce is a beast, but he needs help...any team that wants to have a legitimite chance to win a chmapionship needs a presence in the post....withought a strong center or power forward i dont think they stand a chnace to even go past the first round in the playoffs....unless pierce suddenly becomes jordan thna no withought a big man their not going anywhere anytime soon.

as much as it hurts me (a fan of the old school celts), their championship dreams died with len bias and reggie lewis. it's going to take another franchise player like a russell or bird to bring them to life again.

Probably in the not-so-near future. But they have won enough in the past that they shouldn't cry if they don't!
