1909-1913 Habs jersey.http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4f/Canadiens_1910.gif just a C stands for Canadiens.
from 1913-17 they were the Club Athletique-Canadien and it was a C and with an A instead of the H, which stands for Athletique.

Nope sorry no language issues here. H stands for hockey!
The C surrounding the H stands for Club de Hockey Canadien. (Prior to 1917 they had a C surrounding an A which stood for le Club Athletique Canadien.)
FYI it does not nor did it ever stand for Habitants

I'd say either Saku Koivu or Alexei Kovalev. Each are great players and very experienced. Each too are good in their positions and can play each end of the ice. Carey Price is a good goalie though he's got a lot to proove for now.

H = Hockey, not Habs. Many people think the H stands for the Habs, but that's definitely not true.

The official CH represents the first version of the hockey club. The CH means Club de Habitants, and therefore the nickname the HABS.
