I watched Life of Brian at the cinema on it's first night in Sheffield. It was in the old ABC cinema which was massive. I will never forget how brilliant it was to hear so many people laughing. I believe the cinema held over a thousand. People were sobbing with laughter. Since then I have never laughed constantly at a film as I did that night. what a shame. For me it's the funniest film comedy of all time.

I don't know if the movie is the funniest of all-time, but the ending is the funniest ending to a film I've ever seen. A group of men being crucified singing "Always Look on the Bright Side" is priceless. I just watched the film last week.

I prefer The Meaning Of Life... When Michael Palin is the drill sergeant and the hand of God appears... That sketch keeps me laughing everytime!

Only because of the furore it caused - it taught us all that if you want commercial success you just need to hiss off some self-righteous group, really badly.
I think I'll go read the Satanic Verses - AGAIN.

It's one of the daftest but most memorable movies I've seen!

I was involved quite heavily in the church at the time so part of me was agreeing with the Christians who believed it was being irreverent to the Faith. (But the majority of me saw it as something really silly, harmless bit of fun)!

No.

Well, not in my opinion. I think "Holy Grail" is funnier ... but whether even that is the funniest of all time, I'm not sure.

I'd agree that its one of the funniest, but not the funniest.
