Although the holocaust was real, the jewish were not the only ones who suffered during the WWII. Millions of gypsies were exterminated in Eastern Europe as well, yet you don't hear anything from them. More Christians died, way more than Jews. Think about: 12.1 million Jews died (non-combat causes included), out of a total of 37 million civil casualties. That's merely 33%. You know, it's not about the numbers. It's about how loud you cry.

Holocaust denial, i believe, is not the correct term here. I think we could call those gathering in Tehran "holocaust revisionists" or "historical revisionists". I don't know, but that seems like a more descriptive label.
I personally see no sense in trying to score political points by downplaying one of history's most tragic moments and belittling the suffering witnessed by people at the hands of the Nazis, but let them do it if it would make them feel better about themselves.
The Iranians have repeatedly stated that if the holocaust is fact then there should be no harm in discussing it. I agree with that, but the problem is that they are discussing it with a "predetermined" mindset and with their conclusions ready. That is my main concern. There will be no "real" research here, just mere words and rhetoric, mostly directed against Israel. It is truly sad how Israeli practices against the Palestinian people have driven people to such lengths.
As a side note here, i also do not agree with the rabid (and illogical) opposition that this conference has faced. Why are Jews (and other Israel supporters, as well as many European countries) so afraid of this issue being discussed? What's the problem? The holocaust is a well documented tragedy.
As a response, let's organize a conference about the Islamic world and Islamic history. Let's discuss what Muslims have been doing lately, or what the Muslim Ottoman Empire used to do in the Balkans for example. Let's even discuss the parts of the religion that have led to the rise of terrorism. Let's have a "Quranic revisionist" conference.
If we can't stand someone to point out these facts about our faith and its history because they are sensitive, then we must respect that others also have issues that are sensitive.

He's a sick man, but because he's a powerless puppet, no one need worry about him.
There are LARGE groups of Christians and historians that agree that the holocaust did in fact happen, but its magnitude has been greatly exaggerated. It seems so wrong to disagree even with an exaggerated version of such an atrocity, but facts are facts. Just as the fact that the holocaust did happen is extrememly unconscionable, so should the exaggeration of it. Just because it was wrong that it did happen, it shouldn't be OK to embelish it until it becomes accepted history.

Holocaust deniers don't have any basis for their denials other than deep-seated hatred for Jews.
Anyone who has studied the Nazis' "final solution" and how it was carried out knows that it did indeed happen, and that it did indeed happen as our history portrays it. There is a huge mountain of evidence -- Nazi records, civilian records, motion pictures, photographs, eyewitness testimony from both Jews and Germans...all showing we understand these events with great accuracy. There is *no* reliable, verifiable evidence showing the "deniers" are correct in any of their assertions.
It's just that simple -- denial is hatred, not history.

There is mountains of evidence that the holocaust occurred, including a few survivors. The big man in Iran in my opinion is possessed and cant be trusted. It is a characteristic of the devil to lie, so I'm not surprised that this man does it on such a grand scale.

I read an article on this a few weeks ago,and yes, the events happening right now are pre-holocaust. If the holocaust didn't happen, how do you disprove history ?

I accept as true with you. i'm no longer denying the validity of the Holocaust or the "6 million killed," yet i'd like to work out those files. i'm informed that the Nazis kept meticulous files of deaths in the most concentration camps...yet i'd like to work out them myself. perchance the variety got here about a similar way the Rwandan genocide variety did: estimates from agencies in instantaneous collaboration with the rustic itself. some authorities nonetheless do not agree on the precise quantity killed even with the truth that. i do not understand if there's a catalogue of Tutsi killed, even though it type of feels like many human beings have a tendency to have self belief that variety. yet i'm interior of a similar boat with you: I question it, and that i'm categorised antisemitic as well. i imagine this is because human beings opt to have self belief what they have been taught...or maybe straying away somewhat from their teachings scare them, so that they label you because the "anti" human being as a protection mechanism. this is rather a lot like being referred to as unchristian in case you probably did not vote Republican (own journey!) or racist in case you start up speaking about equivalent rights. human beings like their worlds all smartly wrapped up, and if someone is questioning the wrapping or attempting to undertaking outdoors of that field...properly, that couldn't do in any respect.
