I do know that Ohio State has never beaten an SEC team in a bowl game. If anyone can prove otherwise, please let me know. All I can find is that Ohio State has tried and failed 8 times to win against an SEC team in a bowl game and I don't have a problem with 0-9 come January 8th when they take on Florida. The SEC rules. I stand correcting. I went back and looked one more time and Ohio State has only lost to an SEC team only 7 times and not 8. So the upcoming game will make them 0-8 against SEC teams.

Regarding Ohio State, their record against the SEC in bowls is 0-7:

1978 Sugar Bowl: Alabama 35 OSU 6
1990 Hall of Fame: Auburn 31 OSU 14
1992 Citrus Bowl: Georgia 21 OSU 14
1995 Citrus Bowl: Alabama 24 OSU 17
1996 Citrus Bowl: Tennessee 20 OSU 14
2001 Outback Bowl: South Carolina 24 OSU 7
2002 Outback Bowl: South Carolina 31 OSU 28

They're record against other conferences (teams currently in the conference regardless of affliation at game time):
ACC: 1-2
Pac 10: 6-7
Big 12: 5-0
Big 10 (Penn St.): 0-1
Big East: 1-1
Notre Dame: 1-0
Others (BYU, Navy, Air Force): 4-1
TOTAL: 18-19

I did take the time to add up the stats from above because I was curious. If my math is wrong on some of them I apologize but it should be close.

Alabama 13-9
Arkansas 1-4
Auburn 6-3-2
Florida 8-4
Georgia 7-2
Kentucky 24-30
LSU 6-4-1
Ole Miss 0-3
Miss. St. 2-6-1
South Car. 3-5
Tennessee 9-4
Vandy 7-17-2
Total 86-91-6 in favor of the Big 10

It looks like the bottom teams really hurt the SEC but I am sure it is the same story in the Big 10. This is so close that it could be in favor of the SEC after this bowl season. It could change every year. That is why the SEC and Big 10 are the best conferences year in and year out. Many of the Top teams in the SEC hold winning records against the top teams of the Big 10 though like Tennessee.
