Hey there everyone.

My daughter is going to turn four on Christmas Eve. I was thinking about getting her a V-smile game system. When I was at the store, I found out that there's a new V-Flash system. I am really thinking about getting this for her. However, last night I got to thinking about the Nintendo Wii.
For one thing, I think I would have more fun playing it with her. It may take her a while to figure out how to play it, but I think in the long run, she'll have more fun with it than the V-Flash.
On the other hand, the Vflash is more of an educational tool than the Nintendo.
What do you think? Are there educational games for the Wii? Do you think that a four year old will have fun playing the Wii? Do any of you have a four year old who plays the Wii?

Thanks for the quick answers. Just so you all know, I already have a PS2, so I'm not buying this system for me. I just thought that I would spend more time playing the Nintendo with her, than I would with the Vflash. Honestly, as big of a video game junkie as I am, I'm sure I'll spend plenty of time playing the vflash with her.
But, I agree, she's a little young for the Nintendo. And the whole point was to get her to learn while she's playing.
Thanks again for your answers, and Merry Christmas to all of you!!

I work with children at a Montessori school, and I def. think you should go for the more educational toys. For one, she's just a baby! She'll be happy with whatever you get her because children don't even have a real understanding of Christmas (other than what we tell them). Besides, wouldn't you rather see your child get something out of learning and having fun, then spending tons of money on a Wii that she won't even be able to appreciate until much later?

She just turned 4 so you should get her the VFlash. You can still by the Nintendo Wii but she really needs the educational games right now.

wii is brand new and i would not get it for my four year old, however my ten year old is getting his for christmas. i would get her an educational game due to her age group and as she is older in a few more years, transfer her into the fun games, as long as they are healthy for her. i would get her started on a simple fun educational toy first. leap is one i really see so much of. does she have any of the LEAP products? you should check those out i think. have fun deciding and have a very merry christmas, the both of you.

I definiantly think you will be happy with your decision if you take my advice.
