Not that I am aware of. As long as you have your decree absolute from OK, I think you can get married when you want to anywhere.

I don't know the law for Texas but here in Oklahoma you have to wait 6 months. I know cause I got my divorce here in Oklahoma and there is a 6 month waiting period. He is already married again.

For most states you have to wait 60 to 90 days after your divorce to get married. Check in your papers and if that doesn't say I would call the court house in Texas and inquire with them as to what the rule is.

I doubt there's a time limit on that since your a free man. But if your first marriage didn't work out are you sure your ready to jump into a second marriage so soon? Just a thought. good luck on whatever you decide.

If your divorce is final, i think it's OK to get married already
